I know, we are well into our new year.  But it is still the first month of 2012.

There are a lot of new beginnings this month – the worldwide new year and its celebrations, the Chinese New Year, an Indian Harvest festival which prays for a good upcoming year for the main livelihood that was very important to traditional India anyway, even if there are more trades nowadays…

On a personal note, I’ve just moved to a new flat, I have a whole host of things I would like to achieve this year – some small in themselves, some a part of a bigger plan and leading to a massive goal.

Everyone is a bit on edge in some ways alteast about what this year can bring with it, with various crises floating about – the big economic crisis, and all the things that has affected - housing, jobs (or lack of) for the millions of graduates like myself.  So, I’m sure I’m not the only one who has resolved to try to stay positive about everything as we tackle all the new opportunities and challenges that will come our way.

I don’t know what exactly this year will bring, but I will try my best to do all I can with all the opportunities that are presented to me and those that I go out and actively create myself.

Here’s wishing everyone a Happy New Year!
